The buzzards

i shut my window, this tells my body it is night, this tells my brain it is time to wake up.
I open a new text document
"Wish i had word..." I utter, annoyed at the copy of windows I have for not being legal.
I boycott all foods other than crackers and tea.
It is time to edit.

Mission; one hour worth of film to go behind the gig.
Recourses; Avid 3.5 and my production studio.

this wouldn't be hard, if I had more than a week.

Times a wasting, must get editing.

One practise left

time is drawing near, and things have JUST started building up.
Stage set up for example is going to be a mission.
i plan to Mic EVERYTHING so that I can film it all in perfect quality audio.
Also there are about 15 used channels of Mics, and DI'd things, so YAAY!
Techy's dream.

Also i just realized that we have ONE and only one practice left haha.

that's not scary at allll... :P

Any way, our set list is as follows (some songs might get moved around)

- All it perfect
- Own Song
- mote/the panda song (not recorded)
- Perk
- We All lived Backwards
- Relative I (not recorded)
- The Rotating unfinished
- Happy Happy the bug man (Not recorded, acoustic)
- For The Crash (solo Piano and vocals)

I'm almost positive I'm missing something haha, but I guess I'll find out next time we have a practice.

until then, enjoy your day.

Tickets are a dollar, because space is limited.

but whats a dollar really.

Any way, I will be back with more artwork.
EP is nearly ready to be released, which is convenient because I'm releasing it at the gig.

All is perfect

Picture a world with out war,
with out famine, with out missfortune,
nothings out of place.

Well obviously that wont be happening any time soon.

This weeks video of the week is the opening track from our EP, named All Is Perfect.
It's about such a world, or at least the illusion of one.

it's meant to just set the scene for the rest of the EP.

The concept is taken from Animal Farm..so any one who knows the story of that will know what Im going on about.
otherwise, i hope you enjoy it.

Time Broken Music Box

i was working on the EP, just mastering etc, when I got an idea for a song.
So it is now going on the EP.
This is just another reason for me to love my keyboard.

I hope you enjoy it.

It's called;

"Time Broken Music Box."

(and I should warn you that this is a little odd for the album, I'm not planning to have any other pieces like this on it at the moment)

Enjoy

EP

howdy

just a quick note to say that the EP
"how to dig a hole"
is near completion.

Still working on the art work a little - I'm thinking something to do with Pandas, pandas are cute.
So that shouldn't be too far away.

There will be some tracks available for download at some point.

Hmm, I got to get back to mastering

Enjoy

Shortie mysteries

Those of us who have been subjected to the horror that is "Shortland street" will know that recently there have been a number of mysterious murders occurring.

The "official" website has this posted as the biggest mystery the show has seen in it's life, spanning the past 15 years.
not even the writers know what is going to happen (apparently...although, by now I'm sure they're used to that).

From what i understand, involved in the murder there is;

  • a rubber tube
  • the body is always missing

there are many theories as to who it is, and many theories of how this is happening.

In this post I will express my own theory.

"jonnys theory of the Shortie murders"

lets weigh up the evidence, tube, no body. So far, nothing that convincing.

We have caught a few characters acking shady, although this has either been explained in episodes following, or is simply brushed off, because many of the characters are shady in the first place.

So what I propose is this;

These are not murders at all!

These are simply a bunch of suicides, all committed in an unusually similar fashion.

here's how they happened -

firstly, get one rubber tube, from the conveniently placed hospital on set.

Tie one end of this tube around your throat, and the other (with rope or twine) to something solid, a car, a building, a lamp post etc.

open your back door and take 90 paces back wards.

Sprint the 90 paces back towards the back door as fast as you can.

On the 90th step the rube will tighten, breaking your neck instantly, the rubber tube will not be able to support the impact, and will rip off the rope (leaving no evidence of it).

The fours of the impact will also fling you back towards the post, taking you away from your back door (insuring no one will find you, as they never seem to go out side to check).

And this, is how people have been dieing on Shortie.

hehe...AWESOME!

A while ago my mate Chris and I decided this needed doing.

We only got half way (there was meant to be a full on body kit) but it was raining, and his mum needed to borrow his car....etc...then we couldn'tbe bothered putting it all back on.
but...i personally think it awesome.
